When the national grid warned of potential power cuts this Winter, it got the Lightbox team thinking; why doesn’t beautifully-designed, battery operated, cordless table and wall lighting exist…
…but after scouring Europe, we found that they do!
We are now proudly working with two design studios based in the Netherlands to launch our BRAND NEW collection of rechargeable mood lighting, so that you can create atmosphere - anywhere.
Introducing Noble One, Noble Two and Noble Wall
The Noble collection set out to be a modern-day alternative to the ultimate mood lighting; candles.

How to Recharge your Noble One, Two & Wall Lamps
Recharging is very simple.
The rechargeable table lamps and wall lights are supplied with a USB-C recharging cable. You'll need a three-pin plug with a USB port in it to recharge your light. This plug is very similar to the one you use to charge your smartphone or tablet.
When you receive your cordless light, there is a manual that contains full details but in most cases, this plug (or adapter) needs to be 5V 2A (= 10W, recommended) or 5V 3A (= 15W, max). You'll find these details on the plug you intend to use but always check before you do!
The recharging port is on the underside of the table lamp or on the back of the wall light. You simply plug in and leave it to charge - from empty, the cordless table lamps and wall lights take just 4 hours to be fully charged…not too bad when you consider that at its dimmest setting, the Noble One gives off 220 hours of light!
You'll know when your lamp or wall light needs recharging as there is a three-light indicator on the side of the lamp. When the three indicator lights are illuminated, the lamp has a full charge but when it reaches one remaining light, you know you'll need to recharge it. But don't worry, the charge indicator lights don't spoil the aesthetic.
Using the Integrated Dimmer Function
The cordless table lamps and wall lights all have a three-step integrated dimming function. This means that you have three options:
Candle is the dimmest setting giving an average of 2 to 4 lumens of light - very much like a real candle but without the flickering.
Ambient has slightly more lumens - between 8 and 10 - and is perfect for when you need a little bit extra.
Work is brighter still, to really brighten a corner of your space.
The on/off button is on the base of the lamp. You simply press on and press this button until you have the setting you want. To switch it off, simply long press.

The Noble One is a battery-powered light that sits in the palm of your hand, perfect for moving about the home as well as placing on the dining table, the bedside table or the hallway table when you want to chase away the shadows at night. The Noble Two is just as perfect for the dining table, a much safer option than candles. With the possibility of blackouts this winter, keeping your cordless lights charging during the day means that when dusk falls, you have light!
